What is the best version of Thresh?

I mean there are like 8 diffrent versions, from U/G/w, U/G/w/b, U/G/b, U/G/w Tempo, Moon Thresh, Thrash, U/G/r, U/G/r/w, U/G/r/b.

It's crazy how many ways you can take the deck.

What would you say the best color combination is, and should Thresh be focused on winning, or have more tempo generation (daze, wasteland, MD stifle), or even run CB/top.

I perfer the black CB-top variant, as it has sooo much control,, and it has more ways of obtaining card advantage over the other versions...

And, IMO, it has the bes sideboard options out of them all (exceot perhaps 5c threshold).

here this is my version (im accually making it, so if you got anything i need, PLEASE let me know):

Creatures:

4x tarmogoyf (no shit sherlock)
4x nimble mongoose (hes a 3/3 shroud for 1, comon,...)
4x wherebear (im talking to some people about replacing it with quiron dryad, but hes a 2cc for a 4/4 T:add green)

Spells:

4x ponder (better than portent, and if it was an instant, better than brainstorm, i cannot stress how important the sentence, "you may shuffle your library" is good)
4x brainstorm (ya this card owns :D)
4x predict (ponder and brainstorm allow this to be an AWSOME card in threshold, throws 2 in the yard and you draw 2 nice....)
1x rushing river (a nice 1 of card if you gota bounce something)
1x snapback (same as above)
4x stifle (messes with wasteland and fetchlands and alot of other stuff)
4x spell snare (as you all know there are quite a few 2 drops, but if you see there arent just swap it with counterspell)
4x daze (you know it owns)
4x force of will (T______T if you dont know why this is here, then get out of this website)

Lands:

2x wooded foothills
2x polluted delta
3x flooded strand
4x wastland
1x breeding pool
4x tropical island
2x island

Havent come up with a sideboard.

I like Moon Thresh the best because Magus of the Moon is amazing. Ten 5 color next then Dark THresh, roberts old list. I dont really like thresh too much though. Quiriopn Dryad is way better!!

There is no "best" version. Any well built Thresh build is fine, the real issue is what you expect to be playing against. The most effective thresh deck will be the one tuned to beat the meta. Example: white tempo thresh is supposedly shitty, but I chose it because it matched up the best against what I was expecting (Tombstalker), so it was the best version. If I wanted to play the "best" tempo thresh color I would have been sitting on Bolts while a giant demon beats my face.

Ride the spiral to the end, it may just go where no one's been.

I used to really like the black splash because of counterbalance + top + bob synergie. It just made alot of sense in my head. It takes quite a while to set-up though; therefor tempothresh and canadian variants are better I think.

Obviously this is a broad discussion. The truth of the matter is there is no universally accepted threshold list. Each threshold list can vary quite alot depending on the metagame that particular threshold build was played in. However, my personal favorite is probably UGW balanced threshold because oblivion ring and mystic enforcer are awesome. You also can modify UGW thresh to a huge extent to make it viable in alot of different metagames. Except a metagame full of Ichorid of course.

Robert is right about black balanced threshold variants though. Thoughtseize is a well worth black splash on it's own. Which is apparent considering Thoughtseize greatly improves many matchups in the current environment. Therefore, Thoughseize is rarely viewed as a "dead" card in hand.
